As part of the information gathered during checkout, you can collect mailing addresses from your donors. In some regions, this may even be required in order to issue the donors receipts usable for tax purposes.
For the majority of regions, where it's possible to leave address optional, it's important to consider the decision of whether to require a mailing address carefully, as requiring a mailing address can impact your bottom line due to donation churn.
When mailing addresses are collected, Fundraise Up always provides a complete, and sometimes verified address. We always employ autocomplete technologies to ensure a full address.
When mailing addresses are collected
Validated: The address has all components necessary for mailing addresses in that region.
Verified: A verified address has been validated, and is verified with the postal system as deliverable.
Confirmed: A confirmed address is one where the Google Maps API (or a preferable, region-specific API) has been used to confirm that the location exists.

Regional requirements for charitable organizations
Different regions, especially different countries, can have different requirements of officially recognized charitable organizations. With regards to mailing addresses, this mostly comes down to data compliance and receipt compliance.
